The Plaza Escuelas Trevijano is fully covered by a canopy, except for the opening around the Alcorque Banco. This canopy connects its surroundings—buildings, streets, and trees—transforming the plaza into a more versatile and interactive space for the neighborhood. During the festival, the covered area accommodates a variety of events, while on regular days, people can freely move around or rest on stools beneath its playful shadows.

For larger events or group gatherings, the stools can be repositioned to create different spatial arrangements. The canopy, standing 2.5 meters tall and designed to maintain the length of a full panel, creates a cozy environment that blurs the boundary between inside and outside.

Each canopy unit measures 600mm by 600mm and is inspired by the local ecology. Perforations in the panels allow natural light to filter through, casting ever-changing floral shadow patterns that shift with time and weather. This intervention seeks to rediscover the potential of the existing plaza, offering a comfortable and adaptable public space that becomes a dynamic gathering place during the festival in Logroño.
