Open House is a playful platform for youth, designed to host creative and energetic activities. The building takes the form of a simple rectangular volume, yet its open, multi-directional design allows it to seamlessly integrate with the city’s evolving infrastructure and surrounding neighborhood. A key concept is the cross-sectional relationship of the skip floors, which encourages interaction and visual connectivity among users.
The 20-meter-long span creates a flexible interior, allowing for a wide range of programs to unfold freely. Two service core towers are located along the western façade, providing formal evacuation routes and accommodating building services. In contrast, the eastern side houses more informal, eclectic spaces that support the diverse and evolving functions of a contemporary youth center.
