"Picnic" is a site-specific installation that transforms an everyday encounter with Cheonggyecheon Stream into a unique spatial experience. Located between Mojon Bridge and Gwangtong Bridge, the project consists of a circular net structure approximately 9 meters in diameter, suspended across the width of the stream. Hovering above the water, it offers visitors a new way to observe, enjoy, and inhabit the urban landscape.

The structure is prefabricated in four segments and assembled on site. Its circular frame is formed from galvanized steel bending pipes with a diameter of 8 cm, while the high-strength netting is designed to safely accommodate up to eight people at a time.

Visitors can experience Cheonggyecheon in a variety of ways: lying on the net and looking up at the sky framed by the surrounding buildings, sitting face-to-face for conversation, listening closely to the sound of flowing water, or dangling their feet into the stream from the edge. Through these simple yet engaging activities, the installation encourages new forms of interaction with the urban environment.

"Picnic" is a small but open platform above the water—a place where people can pause, gather, converse, and reflect within the heart of the city.
